American Parks

Silver Dollar City (Branson MO.) 2002 Review

Many coaster enthusiasts (including me) believe that this park is truly the best quality theme park in the world. Silver Dollar City is filled with great rides and the best theming around. The park is well themed to the 1880s era and hosts large festivals every year. Most people who step into this park really believe that they're back in the 1880's. The park also has many great rides like Wilderness waterboggin, a large water slide in which riders slide down in little rafts. For the kids there's Geyser Gulch, a wonderful wet playground and Tom sawyers adventure playground with the little Run-Away-Ore-Carts rollercoaster.
Silver dollar City also hosts some great coasters like ThuNderaTion which currently holds records for being the fastest mine train coaster in the world and having the steepest drop on a mine train coaster in the world. Buzzsaw Falls was one of the first water coasters in the world. It features a large drop and more excellent theming.
Then of course there's Wildfire Silver Dollar City's very own B&M rollercoaster.
Last but not least there's Fire-In-The-Hole! Witch is a great indoor rollercoaster with three sudden drops and a surprise ending.

Other rides I havent mentioned are, The American Plunge a great old log flume with a large drop and some great theming once again and The Lost River of the Ozarks, a great river ride that gets rides very wet.

I give this park a 9/10

Celebration City, Branson Mo.(2003 review)

Celebration City is an out-standing park with great rides including three coasters. The park is VERY well themed to the 1950's-1980's period, with classy buildings, old-fasioned cars, and other random things. The main attraction is the Ozark WildCat, a large GCI wood twister with Millenium Flyer trains. Ozark Wildcat has a one-of-a-kind first drop, many diving curves, rabbit hops, and some great airtime. There are two other coasters in the park, The Jack Rabbit, a strange pinfari with large drops and tight turns, and the Thunderbolt, a rough schwartzkopf with a sudden vertical drop in the middle of the ride. Theres also a great selection of flats at the park, they are, Fireball - a great KMG ride similer to a huss frissbee, Orbiter, a classic Zamperla flying carpet, Accelerator, an S&S shot tower, a portable log flume called Shute D' shute, and a large ferris wheel called the Electric Star. At 10:00 P.M. every night theres a laser show called Celebrate, a one of a kind attraction.

I give this park an 8/10

Bells Amusement Park
Bell's Amusement Park Tulsa OK. (2002 review)

This tiny park is not doing well

it has 1 coaster - a woodie called Zingo
its a great classic coaster.

The reason the park is having trouble is because Some very Odd people have moved next to the park and state fair grounds and are now complaining about the noise

In 1997 the anti-roll back system on the Wildcat Failed and a car on top of the lift crashed back down killing one person and wounding another.
Afterwards the park sold the Wildcat.
Bells has also sold a Wild Mouse
( most likely because of an accident )
it was called Mad Mouse

This Park's rating is 5

Kiddie Park
Bartlesville, OK (2002 review)

This is a nice little park for the little ones.
It has some nice smaller rides and a little roller coaster that doesnt have a name. The park is owned and operated by a local Lions club, so it doesnt get new rides very often and it does not open all year round, (there are a few rumors about a new skate park for older kids though). I give this park a 4 out of 10.

English parks
Alton Towers
Alton UK (2003 review)

Alton Towers is the UK's number one theme park with many great rides including 3 famous B&M coasters, Air the first B&M Flyer, Oblivion the worlds first vertical drop rollercoaster, and Nemesis wich is famous for just being a great ride. Lines at Alton Towers are usally 1 hour long for most rides, so be sure to arrive in the moringing and head to forbiden vally first so you can get a chance to ride AIR and Nemesis. For several of the larger rides you are allowed to buy fastpass tickets wich will allow you to cut in the line and cut the wait 30 mins to an hour. There are many great rides at Alton besides the 3 B&Ms, like the Log Flume one of the greatest log flumes ive ever been on. Or Submission, although a short ride it is very intense and fun, then theres always River Rapids, Enterprise, Corkskrew, Boneshaker, and Runaway mine train to ride. Also at Alton is an 1880's castle. Part of the castle you may walk through and part of it you can ride through on HEX the legend of the towers.

I give this park a 8/10

Flamingo Land
Malton, UK ( 2003 review )

Flamingo land is a nice medium-sized park out in the land near Malton.
Besides the theme park, Flamingo land also has a zoo with animal shows, animal houses, and of course lots of animals. The park has some good rides like cliff hanger ( Itamin Drop Tower), Sky Flyer ( Zamperla ThunderHawk ), The Terroizer ( kinda like an inverting Huss Frisbee ), and others. There's also a good selection of coasters, they are, The Bullet, a great schwartzkopf shuttle coaster with a loop around the station, Corkscrew, a classic vekoma corkscrew, Thunder Mountian, a tacky pinfari in a big fake mountain, and Magnum Force, a great schwartzkopf triple looper with wacky restraints. The park has only one water ride however, Klondike creek, a small log flume that's always crowded.

I give this park a 7/10

Lightwater Valley Ripon UK (2002 review)

This is a nice medium size park out in the counter near Ripon. It has some great rides like The Ultimate. The Ultimate was once the worlds longest coaster and today its still europes longest. also the have some great rides comeing in for 2003.

it has 6 coasters -
The Grizzly - I have no idea what this is going to be, but im pretty sure it might be a coaster
The caterpillar coaster - its not done yet but its most likely a smaller vekoma rollerscater
LadyBird - a small kiddie coaster wich is great fun.
Sewer rat - an underground Schwarzkopf Wildcat,
Twister- the newest coaster for this park,

The Ultimate- was once the worlds longest coaster
mostly a land coaster but the second half is a great fast ride through the trees.

This is a nice park thats getting better so my rating for it is 6

The New Metroland
Newcastle,UK (2002 review)

This is a nice little indoor park attached to the Metro Center mall in newcastle. Although most the rides are kiddie rides there are a few rides that older people can enjoy, like the swashbuckling ship or the Wonderful Waveswinger. The park has one small powered coaster called "The new Roller Coaster". Even though its just a little coaster everyone loves it.

I give this park a 6 out of 10 but that could be improved if it expanded a little bit.

Luna Park
Scarborough, UK (2003 Review)

Luna park is a very small park in scarborugh harbor.
When you first see the park it looks like a traveling fair, due to the fact that all the rides are small portable models. There are only 7 rides in the park making it one of the smallest (if not the smallest) parks in England. The rides include, a medium-sized ferris wheel called "The Big Wheel", a scrambler, and a strange huss ride called "Dance Zone".

I give this park a 5/10

Codona's Amusement park
Aberdeen Scotland (2003 review)

Codona's is a nice little park by the sea in Aberdeen Scotland.
Most of the rides are cheap transportable models from Pinfari and Zamperla.
The main attraction is a pinfari looping coaster on top of a roof of one of the arcades, besides that all there really is, is another pinfari coaster called Crazy Train, a little pinfari big apple model, a log flume, and a few other little rides.
The theming in this park is very poor, in fact on of the rides is called Shockwave, but its themed to a garden swing (the ride is a zamperla swinging chairs in the front of the park).
Overall, I give this park a 5/10

Alton Towers & Celebration city coming soon
